I applied to Marquette 3 weeks ago and today i recieved a "Student Winter Orienatation" letter from them saying that the orientation was to help "new students in the transition into Marquette."

However, I never recieved an acceptance letter. I'm confused. Have I already been accepted or what?

Marquette does not send acceptance letters until mid January. If the letter you got has content about the scholarship competition then it is a letter they send to all applicants. If not then call admissions office they will be able to help (they are closed but will open Monday 3rd of January). Hope this helps

That almost sounds like something for kids transferring in this coming semester. Orientation for freshman happens in late August right before school starts. Are you a transfer student? Otherwise, sounds like a glitch.
Your acceptance letter should come in a couple of weeks – mid January, like newsdrms says.

Leah Strong -The first wave of decision letters went out this morning in the mail. We typically mail letters every business day for about 7 days in order to clear our mail house. We don’t mail letters in any particular order. We had over 21,000 applications so you can image how long it will take to get all the letters out.
