I'm craving fruit.

Wartsandall-The best ones are from people’s trees. The ones from the grocery stores are picked too early. Ask around, I’m sure someone you know has a tree.

O ok, will do!:>

^^Agreed.

I’m intrigued by these Japanese sounding fruits…

Persimmons are delicious! But if you eat a young one you get that awful gritty taste. Don’t do that. The heart shaped ones are nice and soft.

Mangos, papaya, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries… mmmMMMMMmmmMMMm

The fuyu are friendlier to eat. Peel like an apple. Crunchy wedges. The fuyu have flat bottoms. The Hachiya must be fully ripened (think water balloon about to burst) or they are too astringent and bitter. They are heart shaped with a pointed bottom.

Thanks Batllo. I’ll necro this thread once I get a chance to eat them.

Off to the grocery store. Something tells me that I shouldn’t ask around for Hachiya trees.

Plums!

Hehehe. Darn, no one is left in HSL that would remember that :(.

I would be insanely up for some grapefruit right about now.

I’d rather have a fruit smoothie.

^Mmmm. My dad used to make them every night for me :] Then my mom accidentally broke our blender…

Grapefruits are good, but they require an insane amount of peeling.

Why does no one like Jamba Juice?

I don’t have a Jamba Juice where I live. We do have a Smoothie King.

I’m craving grapefruit, blueberries, canteloupe and strawberries.

Jamba FTW. They’re all over the place in Oregon

*** is jamba juice??

^I’m not sure what you are insinuating.
^^Thank you! They are all over the Bay Area too:)

I wish there were a Jamba Juice around where I’m at.

We only have meh-y Orange Julius; although, they do have pretty amazing berry-pom smoothies.

haha it stars out w.t.f. Is Jamba Juice like Orange Julius?

Smoothie King “protein” smoothies taste like children’s vitamins. bleeehhhh

Best fruits ever:

Sugar-apple

Sapodilla (Chikoo)

Jack fruit

If you don’t know what they are, check on wikipedia. Better yet, run to the nearest international food market and buy some. If you choose option two, let me know how that goes. (Never get canned…bleh)

Dole Strawberry-Banana juice.
