I'm DOOMED!!

Hello!

Through Common Apps, I had applied to JHU's ED but got rejected; I had put the special letter why I am interested in the field of biotechnology.

I just finished my application to University of North Carolina but I forgot to change the letter that I addressed to JHU's Admission Committee. I do not know why Common Apps do not allow any modification to the Application part after it is submitted to one college.

Will UNC-Chapel Hill reject me because I forgot to erase JHU's name on my special letter I had put on the Application part? Will they know it is really hard to edit the Application process of the Common Apps once it is submitted to one college in the past?

They will understand, I’m sure this happens commonly, and though it is not what you prefer, it’s gonna be OK. Deep breath, UNC knows that these kind of things can’t be changed and that, of course, kids are applying to multiple schools. Best of luck, let it go…

Hey, I’m a current UNC student, so I may be able to help. While it won’t look good that you didn’t edit the essay, UNC knows the CA and how hard it is to change. If you applied RD, then I’d email them with an updated essay and ask them to consider that instead. Best of luck!
