I'm failing APUSH... suggestions?

Well... i'm failing APUSH.. i got in the class with lots of spirit to do well and to work hard..but frankly, i was too lazy and didn't study much.... during the quizes, i was shocked at how in depth the questions went... that moved me.. then i started to study realizing i cannot fail this class.. but i still have a hard time passing, now, its almost the end of first quarter and i have an F... i came to America 11 months ago...i took all regular classes when i came because my counselor suggested so... i was determined that in my junior year, i HAD to take APs and honors... i have As and Bs in all other classes.. the APs that i have are APUSH and AP physics B... APUSH is the only that's letting me down... should i drop out.. which i DONT want to do... or just try to do better for the rest of the year, i have the determined target to get Bs in all quarters now on, and do colleges look and notice that i dropped an AP class and went to the easier one... is it gonna look bad???

Thanks a lot for your help :)

You need to meet with your Guidance Counselor ASAP and see if you should switch to a regular US history course. You heed to also talk to your teacher and find out whether it would make a difference switching–if the regualr course is different enough, and that there are aspects fo the AP course that are hitting your weak points.

Failing or getting a D or C even in APUSH is going to be far worse than switching to regular history and getting a B in it.
