I'm freakin out...

Can you guys please place my chances at the following schools?

georgetown
boston college
boston u
tufts
northeastern
dartmouth
harvard (as a crapshoot)
university of virginia
university of delaware
university of notre dame
SUNY Binghamton

Alright, so here go my stats...I'm new to the site, so I'm sorry if they're embarrassing or something...

State: NY
My high school is one of the best public in the state (Warwick Valley) so keep that in mind
Race: I look as white as paper, but my grandfather was born in puerto rico
Parents: Mom didn't graduate college, dad didn't graduate high school (they're now divorced.) Grandfather graduated fordham u with a degree in theology and is now a catholic deacon for the catholic church (20 yrs)
Religion: Catholic

GPA: 3.8 - 3.9 unweighted
Rank: Top 5% class of 451
APs: 5 on Chemistry, 5 on US, taking Bio and Calc AB this year, all that I could fit into my schedule. Took online college bio course, should be fine with ap bio
Been on high honor roll throughout hs, recommendation letters will be great, especially from science dept. i flourish in the sciences.
Standardized Tests: avg of 97 on all regents exams, 99 on 4 of them
SAT: 1970 :\ retaking in oct, 640 math, 650 cr, 680 writing (12 essay)
ACT: Taking for first and only time in Sept, practices have been around 31-32 composite.
SAT II: 670 Math, 710 US, 770 Chem -- highest score in my school in 2009-2010.

EC's: Academic league competing @ regional level 1 yr
Mu Alpha Theta honors 3 yrs - req's 20 tutoring hours/yr & avg of 90+
Varsity x-country, indoor & outdoor track for senior year
Waiter/busser since may 2009, still going strong. often called best worker @ restaurant, 20 hrs/wk summer, 15hrs/wk fall-spring.
Took full yr photo class, 2 .5yr studio art classes. I still practice photography, was top of my photo class in terms of grades & talent.

I know it may not seem like much, but between training, college writing (common app) and how much I work, I have time for little else... :\ I hope I'm somewhat useful to the schools to which I am applying... Thank you in advance for any feedback, it's greatly appreciated.

the ivies are obviously high reaches.
georgetown and tufts are reaches pending on your new SAT score.

and the rest are matches (besides bc which is a safety).
you’re well within admittance range for the OOS schools but you might
want to boost up your scores if you’re looking for scholarships.

Best of Luck! :]

I’m sorry, OOS? I’m a noob…

BC a safety? Did you mean BU?

OOS=out of state

The 2 ivies are major reaches but you should get into several of these schools. If you need financial aid, however, you need more financial safeties as the schools on the list where you have the best shot are not good aid schools.

georgetown- mid reach; hard to predict this school
boston college- low reach
boston u- mid match
tufts- low/mid reach
northeastern- match
dartmouth- high reach
harvard (as a crapshoot)- high reach
university of virginia- low/mid reach
university of delaware- low match/safety
university of notre dame- mid reach
SUNY Binghamton- match/safety

Nice GPA but low SAT for many of the schools that you are applying to. IF you can get a 31 or higher on your ACT or a 2100 or higher on your SAT than I think you have a good shot at Boston College (but BC not a safety school even with these scores!), with a fair shot at Georgetown, ND, Virginia, and Tufts. Your test scores very likely won’t be good enough for Harvard and Dartmouth based on your projections. Having a Latino grandpa isn’t enough of a hook, imo, and won’t do much to boost your status.

You will get into UVA.

Chance back–>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/969336-chance-unc-wilmington-odu.html

yeah, bu is much much safer than bc. it just gets nerve-wracking, all these high expectations…i’m presently taking an sat course, so i hope to bump things up a quite a bit. money will most likely not be an issue in my case, i’m fortunate with that. seriously, thank you for all of your responses. if anyone else has stuff to say, please post! :-)

bump pleaseee will chance back!

I’d say that Boston University is definitely a safety at this point. Havard, Dartmouth, and Georgetown are unpredictable, and a lot of well-qualified applicants are always turned down. If you are set on these schools in particular, definitely try to improve your SAT and do your best on the SAT. Northeastern, Tufts, and Boston College are not completely out of the question either; they’re low to mid reaches.

As for the others, I’m not very aware of their selectivity.
