Hey everyone! Wisconsin is my first choice, I absolutely love it. I'm nervous, though, that I'm not going to get in. Here are my stats-

GPA= 3.54 uw and 4.31 w (attend #1 ranked school in Illinois)
ACT= 29
Mostly honors, two APs (but APs aren't offered until senior year, there are only two offered junior year)
Strong essay, three recs and one rec from a renowned professor at Wiscon.
Lots of extracurriculars- LOTS of volunteering, leadership academies and training, sports all four years. I made a resume, I have over 25 activities.
Honors- honor roll, national honor society, etc.

With your GPA and ACT, the chart says that you have a 55% chance of admission, so it's truly a MATCH for you. But, that percentage can be upped for you, since you are on the upper end of both spectrums. The 55% chance is for students 3.4-3.5, 28-29, which you are a little better than. So it's more of a 70-75% chance for you.

Also consider that the majority of the applicants are in-state, meaning these percentages are mainly for in-state students. So take off a little considering you are out-of-state.

Okay, now i'll give the one sentence summary. You have a good chance, probably 65%, with your GPA and ACT scores, and your residency, at Wisconsin.

I am from Wisconsin and have actually found that out of state applicants get in easier than in staters. The system needs your money so they are more open to giving you a chance. Just my take on it after watching excellent in state students get denied and my idiot cousin from Michigan get admitted.
