im goin...are you?

Hi everyone
Post if you're attending UCM

-Psychology

Yo, I am.

-Bioengineering

I will be attending as well!

-Probably computer science

I'm already here x_x

-Psychology

I'm really hoping I can attend here instead of riverside, but my parents are pushing me to stay closer to home. If I do go here, I'll be majoring in biological sciences with emphasis on human biology.

maybe for biological sciences since my major is declared anyway xP

Jinny you can't get much more central than Merced. If you really want to attend UCM that's where you should go. I am sure your parents want you to go where you would be happiest so arm yourself with good information and a plan about why UCM would make you happier than UCR and keep working them. :)

UCM is in my top 3 schools, the other two are SDSU and U of Rochester. I would be going into some sort of engineering field but the ones at Merced and Rochester aren't as appealing as a couple at SDSU. SDSU is not a great school for engineering though, so I was wandering if people transfer to other UC's such as UCLA or UCSD after attending UCM for a year or two?

I will be transfering to UCSD next Fall from UCM, after one year.

^^ That's guaranteed?

^
"On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of the University of California, San Diego, I congratulate you on your admission to Muir College as a major in Psychology! "

As of last week. Ill be a triton in fall 08' =]

Oh Oh... I see what you mean. I thought you were going to be a Freshman at Merced this year, and were planning to transfer to UCSD in one year.

Gratz on your success. What were your stats? Was it fairly easy to get good grades compared to your high school (if you took honors level courses).

Oh you must have thought I was on the Shared Experince Program for UCSD-->UCM?

My UCM GPA: 3.4
after this semester it will be a 3.6

I was awarded the full IB Diploma and took 6 AP classes in high school. I would say that classes here are about as hard as IB classes in high school. Although, I find myself able to study less and less in college as I learn more and more tricks to do well on the tests, h/w, etc.

Wow, I find it hard to believe that classes at Merced are as hard as AP level classes but gratz on the admission.

I will be attending! Can't Wait!
-Political Science

I'll be attending.
-Political Science

I'll be attending, too.
-Computer Science and Engineering

Me too!
-Undeclared

Same.
-Undeclared

haha, so just to update, i decided i won't be going to merced ^^;; i'm going to uc riverside instead because its closer to home and some other reasons. thank you for answering all the questions i've asked in other threads though. good luck at merced everyone!
