if anyone has visited, or goes there currently...
1) where should i eat?
2) what's the weather going to be like?

If you want to sample campus food, go to Trillium (located near Kennedy Hall on Tower Rd) for lunch - an a la carte type dining hall with great sandwiches, salads, etc. For dinner, head up to North Campus to try Robert Purcell dining hall, located in RPCC on the third floor. I think it costs $12 or something for dinner, an all-you-can-eat buffet with excellent mongo grill, burgers, salad bar, pastas, etc.

It's going to be frickin freezing. Dress warmly. (although, lucky you, it's actually supposed to be in the thirties tomorrow. it's been snowing for three days straight.)

1) where should i eat?
eat here:
http://dining.cornell.edu/northstar

It's on north campus in Appel commons, grab a campus map and look for it.

2) what's the weather going to be like?

really cold, bring a jacket hat and gloves. it's been a warm january, but the last few days have been rather cold.

I've visited three times and I liked Purcell on North Campus the best and if not that then Noyes on West Campus had really good pie

go to the cornell chimes and listen to a concert (big tower in central campus) go look at the library, it's really cool.

Tickets go on sale for the Brown @ Cornell men's hockey game at 10AM in bartels hall.

it will be incredible unless you hate sports. it will show you what cornell's school spirit looks like.

go on a campus tour/information session. you can learn a lot of useless, fun facts this way.

ask a freshman on north campus to let you into the dorms. This really isn't that interesting...the dorms look like regular dorms, but do go to north and check them out at least from the outside. some look pretty cool.

eat in a north campus dining hall. if you're here for lunch and dinner i would say get a wrap at terrace below statler hotel and then have dinner on north at either RPCC or Appel.

Talk to a student who doesn't look too busy. Most are really friendly and glad to help as long as you're polite. Obviously if he is briskly walking or intently studying it might not be the best idea; use your judgement.
