I'm going to cry. I AM SO SCREWED

Man I can't believe this. I messed up so bad. I am in my junior year of high school and before the year started I told myself I would do well. I did really good first semester of sophmore year, got a 4.0, second semester I bombed and did horrible. And now this 1st semester of junior year I messed up again. I got a 3.5 GPA WEIGHTED. WEIGHTED for crying out loud. Do you know how bad that it is unweighted?

I am taking:

AP Bio
Graphics
US History
Pre-Calc H
English 3 H
Spanish 2

I can't believe I messed up so bad. My grades were fine up until the last month and then they just all went down.

Did I screw myself out of any chance of going to a UC? I can't settle for less than that. Or can I still redeem myself with this 2nd semester? I am NOT going to slack off this time, I need to get above a 4.0 this time.

We need your UC GPA and SATs to help.

Ummm hold up. I have a question. Does English 2 H count as an extra point in the UC system?

If it doesn't I got a 3.8 first semester of sophmore year, and.....get ready for this one... a 2.8 second semester yikes. Junior year...Well I got a 3.5 like I said. I'm sure of those classes though, they are all UC counted.

I don't think you count freshman year right? Anyway I got a 3.66 both semesters for that year.

I'm taking the March SAT. Right now I'm about in the 1800's range. I'm hoping to get at least a 1900.

You still have a good shot at UCSB, UCI, and UCD if you do well on the SAT.

Assuming you have about a 3.3/1850 you should be in at Riverside, Merced and maybe SC.

holistic approach is what most colleges are doing now, there is still a chance gl!

In most Cali high schools, English 2 Honors is not weighted credit.
You did weigh chem right??? (I'm assuming you took chem...)

Anyway, just buckle down, study and you'll do fine your next semester.

don't worry to bad........do better this semseter.....colleges like seeing improvement

probably gonna have to do better than 1900 on SATs, thats the easiest to improve on

Those stats look fine for UCSC, UCR, and UCM.

Little_Duck:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCB/UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Match
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Safe Match
