I'm Going to FAIL my APs

So I started kind of studying for AP euro and art history like 3 weeks ago but not very much at all. I took a practice ap euro test and literally only got half the multiple choice right and I guessed on the other half wrong (not blank) so I got like a legit 35ish%. I'm going to fail and I'm so stressed out and I feel like at this point studying will not even help me. I'm going to get a 1 and my life is going to be over. Blahhhh.....

im going to fail my aps as well. but im a senior, already going to yale so i dont care at all!

same senior here. and i could care less

hm. i just started studying yesterday. ap french is monday…and well, i guess i’ve taught myself that i need to change my mindset, stop panicking, study as much as I can without thinking about the test and only what I need to know, and basically just calm down.

@ raiderade: freaking out is no help, and even if you don’t score a 4/5, at least you know that you’ve tried your best and you won’t get a 1. you don’t want to regret wasting your time thinking that you’re going to fail rather than memorize a few more concrete details out of your study materials. chill out, take a break, eat some ice cream! then go back to your book and see what mistakes you made, and tell yourself, “I will definitely remember this if it comes up on the test!” =]

the good thing is there’s no technical fail

same thing happened to me, a week ago I took a WHAP practice test and only got half right, so basically it was a 1. I started studying 3 weeks before the test. I’m sooo behind, I need to read 100 pages or PR on Sunday (haha, like that is ever going to happen.) So yeah, I’m going to fail.

chocobok- I’m not sure about WH, but for Physics and Calculus, getting half right is usually like a 3.

^ hmm, I don’t really know the grading scale, so maybe I was wrong. But telling myself I am on track for a 1, although making me stressed, also motivates me to study.

i will too.

but i don’t even know if my college will accept my credits, so i could care less.

Aha. Don’t worry, accept the fact you’re going to fail, and chillax. Seriously. It’s good for the soul. :)

I’ll prob fail calc BC. I don’t care that much now that I’ve realized I’m getting an A for semester. I think I have some chance at a 3.

^ Me too… I can’t believe 43 percent get a 5 on the BC test.

I’m going to get a dash for bio LOL
Aside from not getting credit would it look bad if you got a 2 and a C in the course?

^Yeah it could actually, but not as bad as a 2 and an A+, lol.

I’m failing too, but the worst thing is, I need 5s to get credit, which I want at school. I’m a senior. But, oh well, maybe I’ll just cancel my scores.

Are schools still closed from the swine flu?

You’re not worse off than me, at least. I have an AP exam tomorrow and I haven’t even started studying yet. I’ll probably start some time this day.

I have Comparative Politics tomorrow. I’m not studying for it.
I have Calculus on Wednesday. I’m not studying for it.
I have Spanish Literature next week. I’m not studying for it.

Then again, I’m a senior so these scores don’t matter in the least :)

^You mean you don’t get college credit for them?

lol I have 2 for self-study which I haven’t started studying, and 1 that I barely learned in class that I haven’t touched or studied ever since September.

Life…

^lol. What are you self-studying invoyable?

And as for me, I have gov tomorrow that I definitely haven’t learned anything about, calc BC on wednesday - not studying for that but I don’t think I need to, lol, lit on thursday, euro on friday, macroecon next thursday, and latin lit next friday. yaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Gov on Monday, and Stat on Tuesday, then Physics and Macro next week. Hopefully I can pull 80% or so on the MC for the first 2, because I have no idea what I’m supposed to do for the Free Response parts. I only need a 3 on each of the tests to get credit (or at least units) at UCLA, but I’d like a couple 4’s too so that I can get National AP Scholar.
