I really don’t care that much about getting college credit, so will getting a 2 kill me in admissions. I know you only self-report ap score but it’ll look awfully sketchy if I don’t report a score.

Graded on curve

FWIW, I once heard from a UCLA admissions rep that a 1 looks better than nothing. Of course, there’s always a possibility that was a lie.

More people need to bomb to inflate everyone else’s grades. :D

i’m prepared for two of my six APs

projecting 5/5/4/3/3/2

(the 2 is chem)

grrr i’ve had to tell this story on here like seven times in the past few weeks, but:

my friend got a 2 on AP Physics B her junior year (the teacher is prettyyy bad lol). she had about six other tests, all of which were 5s and 4s. she reported all of her scores and got into every school to which she applied, including: Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, and Cornell.

/anecdotal evidence

/Backs up poseur with more anecdotal evidence.

As much as OCD CC is, 1’s and 2’s…alone…won’t be deciding factors on admissions.

^ yeah this girl I know got a 2 on an AP spanish language test, I think mostly 4’s and 5’s on her other tests, and got into Brown. As long as your not consistently failing the tests, I guess it’s ok.

I’ve decided that if I “fail” my AP’s, it’s not really a big deal. I self studied them, and if I really do that horribly, I can take college classes over the summer.

Colleges are not going to be hypercritical of your AP test score if you don’t have that class anywhere on your schedule for all 4 years of your high school career.

They’re not that dumb =P

Yay Im gonna fail but Yale dosent give credit for any of the ones im taking anyway

AP Classes are better than CC classes. If you pass the AP test, you get the units, but it doesn’t contribute to your unit cap. If you take a bunch of CC classes, your unit cap may be a serious hindrance.

It’s APUSH cram time. I need major review. I’m shooting for at least a 4. I’m studying for a 5.

AP Eng 11 (self-study) on the other hand…I just need to work through some practice tests and learn what the essays should be comprised of to get a good feel for it.

gonna bomb ap bio…not only was my teacher horrible, but my self study plan didnt work out too well…oh well i was gonna take it in college anyways, so its all good

I’ll cram like 3 days before my APWH test. I’ve got my eyes on a 5. :D

mm yeah i took mine today. last year i got a 1…woops.

I am most likely going to fail my AP Chemistry class which is why I am going to cancel my scores after I take it, and study for it next year with my teacher (Long story short: teacher made the mistake of slowing down for kids who were not even interested in the class who made us stay on limiting reagents for 3 freaking months and then skipped class after day). I also may make only a 3 or 4 on my AP u.s. history, which is pretty good for self studying (it basically was self-studying since all we did was talk about Obama in the class until 2 weeks later when the teacher thought that it would be a great idea to try to give us on DBQs on things we never learned in class).

***, Invoyable, you’re self-studying?!?!?

To make a long story short, writing a DBQ on something you never learned in class is quite easy, and canceling an AP test score is a waste of time and effort.

Quoi? Do you know me? I haven’t had the chance to acquaint myself with a guy with “pie” in his sn since last year on a gaming forum…

If by self-studying you mean cramming in entire review books in 10 hours the day before the test just for the *pure sake of lulz/I, then yes, I’ll oblige.

It’s a game…I’ll see how far I get. I was bored and nonchalantly signed up for 2 random AP exams in addition to APWH. I’m not the least bit worried about whatever score I get (although I’m confident it won’t be below a 3…so pass, right, since I’m not like, taking hardcore tests like bio or anything)…so it’s all chill and a way to skip class for me.

EDIT: but yes, truth: the verdict: I’ll fail.
