I'm half Asian. With 660 math.

I haven't stressed about it before, but I've read some things that freaked me out.
I obviously can't do anything about it, but still... what do you guys think? Is it really going to hurt me? I have 800 CR and 740 W (9 essay... shoddy), but I want to major in biology.
I did poke fun at myself in my common app essay though, about how I'm not the stereotypical math genius Asian.

Top colleges like to see everything over 700 so the 660 may hurt you a little bit, but it’s not going to completely crush your chances. Your other scores look fine and if you have great extracurriculars, it shouldn’t be a major issue. Plus, your essay sounds original and fun and will probably offset the 660 a bit. Just don’t worry about it.

What about SAT II and APs? What schools are you applying to? My younger daughter also didn’t get very high math score, but she is not a math/science person. She was accepted ED to a top 20.

The only SAT IIs I took were US (690), Biology M (780), and Lit (740). As for APs, I took Biology (5), US (5), and English Lang (5) junior year, and this year I’m taking Government, Psych, Chem, and Lit. I’m hoping that the high bio scores might solidify my interest a little bit! I have a composite 33 on the ACT, and I think that my math score on that was a 30. I’m applying to USD, USC, and Pomona as the ones I probably fit best, Santa Clara and Loyola Marymount as safeties, and Dartmouth (my dad went to both the college and med school), Cornell (grandpa went there when he was interned in WWII), and Stanford as extreme reaches. Oh, and UCLA, UCB, and UCSD. And my GPA is 4.0 UW.

ETA: I also have been in the honors math track up until this year, but I opted for AP Lit instead of AP Calc. So I took honors algebra 1/2, honors geometry/trig, and honors precalc. We don’t offer AP Stats.

You should be fine. They are very respectable scores. You will not get much of boost for being legacy at those schools because you didn’t apply ED.

Haha yeah I wasn’t expecting much because we don’t donate enough either.

I don’t think it gets better than an UW 4.0 with rigorous classes and good AP and subject tests scores. Good job!
