Hi.
I just graduated high school and I’m about to start community college. I have three majors in mind: English Lit., Information Systems, and Computer Science. My first choice would be English, but I know there aren’t a lot of job prospects for English majors right out of college. STEM majors seem to be pretty popular right now, but I’m wary choosing a STEM major (a lot of math would be involved). I’m average at math and it’s not my favorite subject so I’m not so sure I should major in CS. I’m kind of curious about it, because I never took any computer science classes in high school but at the same time I hear it’s a really hard math-oriented major. My sister majored in IS and seems to doing pretty well for herself working at a bank. I’ve also done some research on IS and it seems to put more focus on business than math, which I think I could handle. Out of these three majors, I’m more familiar with and more passionate about English, though. Which direction should I go?
