I'm having an identity crisis.

The anthropologist in me just died a little.

Actually, as someone who works in a classroom, too, and sees the quality of teachers that schools are now receiving (aka CRAP) because of an attitude like the OP’s, I am kind of just angry at the OP.

And as to humanities and such not changing the world- ask many, many scientists why they got into science, especially theoretical science (ie deep space travel), and it’s because of things like Star Trek and other books/tv shows/movies (which were created by… humanities people!). Also, what good is the technology if you can’t explain it to other people (language…).

@warts- why should the OP check those out? Obviously, humanities (literature) have no practical worth, so why should the OP waste his/her time? [ETA: Yes, I know the OP enjoys reading. I’m just being spiteful and bitter now.]

I was going to give advice, but I honestly forgot what I was going to say. So lalala… done.

I was under the impression that she was confused regarding what she wanted to pursue/do (in terms of subjects and fields), so I recommended a couple of books that incorporate quizzes that help one develop goals, interests, and intelligences.
