I know that Emory has its own grad school for business. But, if I'm applying for under-grad for my business major, would it be the same as if I were applying for any other under-grad major?

basically yes. after your sophomore year you will have the chance to apply to the business school.

Will I have the chance to apply to other business schools after sophomore year?

ummmm....only if you transfer to another university. You can go to Gozuieta for undergrad, then hypothetically go to say, Haas, Sloan, Wharton and just about any other b-school for grad school.

If I want to get my under-graduate business degree, do I have to apply to Gozuieta instead of Emory University itself? Is it significantly harder to get in if I'm going for the under-grad business degree?

If that's your question, then I believe you apply to Emory University, then apply to gozuieta for your business major at the end of your sophomore year.

Many schools (UVA, Emory, and UNC) do not admit freshman to their business schools. I don't know Emory and UNC's reasons but UVA (based on Thomas Jefferson's belief in a broad liberal arts education) wants students to study a lot of other things before going to B-school. From what I've heard, applying to UVA and Emory after your sophmore year is not a difficult process for the avg. student. Both schools take somewhere between 60-75% of non-transfers and GPA is basically the main factor. If you can maintain around a 3.4 for Emory, you'll be in. Probably 3.5 at UVA.

You can also go to a different school first 2 years then try to transfer to Gozuieta your junior year, but that would be significantly harder.
