I signed up for 2 SAT Subject Tests in November, US History and Spanish w/ Listening. I was confident that I could increase my 690 in History, and I added Spanish as somewhat of an afterthought. However, though I took some time out of the summer to study, I don't think I have done enough studying to improve my score. In fact I am 75% sure I'll do worse because there's going to be some stuff I forgot. And when I opened a Kaplan Spanish book I realized that there were tenses I hadn't studied yet. So my question is, would it be better to stick out the History and Spanish, or should I switch on test day to less fact-based subject tests, such as Literature and Math IIC (which I have already scored a 710 on)?

I was in a very similar situation for the October test. I scored pretty low on the Kaplan French and US History practice tests, so I wasn't even going to bother taking either of them. I ended up switching one of my tests to Literature on the day of the test and it was NOT worth it. You definitely need a lot of preparation for Literature and I feel like I could've done a lot better on the French than what I got for Lit. I think you should just go with the Spanish test because Kaplan's practice test tend to be harder than the real thing anyway. I honestly don't know what condition you're in to take the UH... so I'd say go for Math IIC if you think you can score closer to an 800.

take math and lit instead... or any of the sciences you feel confident in.

Just take practice tests, focus on the material you feel grey on, and go in with a winning attitude and you should have no trouble scoring 700+
