I really would like to know when the orinentation is?
I know you have to pay and do all that online (did it allready).
I need to book flight tickets and wanted to go to Germany in the end of june.
Is there a way o find out?</p>
<p>Orientation will be assigned once your deposits are paid and your “new student preferences” form is complete. Transfers are in June and August, freshmen in July. Once you’re assigned a date, if you have a conflict, you can call Orientation and they’ll change it for you.</p>

<p>wow…reading your post… made me realize that some people might live in the other side of US… and have to take a plane to come to SBU for a few days and go back…

<p>no I live in the area, but i’m originally from germany and want to visit my parents over the summer. sorry, i might have written it wrong!
but i’m sure there are other people from far away.</p>
<p>If you’re coming a long distance and can’t make the trip, the Orientation folks will work with you to put the pieces together. Either they’ll reschedule you for a later date, or try to work out some phone advisement.</p>
