I'm in my third year of high school, meaning one more year then i really have to narrow things down. I'm up to leaving high school and all but the main problem is that i have no clue what to become. My mom and family are forcing me to go into medicine and become a doctor, down side to that is that I'm awful at all of the science subjects. They say they'll get me a tutor which doesn't help at all! Tutor wont be there for me every step of the way for the rest of my life. They say they'll let me pursue what ever path if i have a plan, like the courses I'm going to take and the years it's going to take me to accomplish that goal.

I'm very athletic and I'm good with social skills, like talking to people and really understanding what's going on with them. I just, it's just that i'm stuck! I don't know what to do!

Is there a test that could help me figure out what i wanna be in life, like a test that would bring out my good characteristics?

You're in your third year of high school and you are worried because you don't know what career you want? You need to give yourself some time!

I realize that the problem here is your parents, so you at least need to come up with a temporary plan to pacify them. Have you considered clinical psychology, counseling, or social work? If you are good at understanding people, those might be options to consider. If you are good at talking, than you might consider pre-law (with a major advantage being that you can major in whatever you want and still be pre-law).

Jessie's right - I'm in my third career and I don't know what I want to be yet! Most kids go into college undecided, and even those who go in decided generally change their minds at least once! You're just barely (or not even) 17; relax!

There are some personality tests (like Myers-Briggs) that can suggest possible careers based on your traits, but they are only recommendations at best, and shouldn't be taken as a prescription. Give yourself more time, explore different fields in the first two years of college, if you're still undecided by then. Definitely do not panic yet.

Your concerns aren't unusual. The typical recommendation for pre-meds is to major in a topic they are interested in so they can remain motivated while they take the pre-med requirements and have a fall back in case they don't make it into medical school. You need to identify a school with a good pre-med program to keep your parents happy, and a variety of majors so you can experiment the first year. I would suggest trying out biology, typically thought of as the least hard of the hard sciences as a start on pre-med. Given what you perceive as your strengths psychology, English, economics, and other social sciences might keep you motivated. Try to keep your options open for psychiatry as a medical degree, or pre-law or business if it looks like medical school is not where you should be going.
