so i booked flights and registered next week for th april programs, but i cant ifnd a hotel and im pretty sure most are sold out. does anyone know of hotels that are still open for the 10-11th? if not i dont know what im gonna about my parents not having a room. i already paid the plane tickets and evyerhting.

I assume you've checked with International House and Wooded Isle Suites.

One option is the group of hotels around Midway airport. They are less expensive than staying downtown. There's a Hilton Garden Inn Chicago/midway airport and cluster of others around it. Public transit is easy to Hyde Park.

Are you flying into O'Hare?

No, Midway, and thanks to the Mom that sent me the info.

Hotwire has a four star on the Magnificent Mile / Streeterville for $129. Not a deal, but not too pricy for what you are getting in an already expensive market. Call I-House though for sure.

LOL so I just ended up booking two "dorm-style singles(according to the lady)" for my parents that cost 60 bucks a night. It ended up being chepaer than anything else and it's right in the middle of campus so s'all good. Thanks everyone.

hah, i'm flying out thursday morning...6:55 flight...not gonna be fun

Make sure they bring their own sheets and towels. As far as dorms go though, I-House is recently renovated and very nice. Definitely has the "Ivy"
feel to it.

They provided sheets and towels when we stayed last fall. It was fun being able to just walk to our 'dorm' rather than having to drive to the hotel.

My mom stayed in the I house when we visited. She didn't love it.. but it was cheap! It was also nice for her to be right on campus.
