everytime i come onto the site
it makes me feel like it’s impossible to get into any good schools (ivies + some) cuz everyone’s stats are so awesome…
is it seriously like this or are most CC ppl who post just the cream of the cream of the crop and shouldn’t really worry about getting into great schools?

<p>What?! Uhh.... how can you say that-- unless you have like 1600 SATs, 800 SAT IIs, Nobel Peace Prize or something?</p>
<p>well a lot of people ARE smart by book standards (gpa, sat scores, etc) but their posts don't sound very eloquent and intellectual (horrendous grammar mistakes, punctuation, etc)</p>
<p>afaforce.. don't worry. this isnt an accuracte portrayal of the applicant pool. also, lots of ppl with lower scores than your average ccer get in and some ppl from this board dont get in. colleges arent interested in someone mwho comes here, follows all the rules and does all the right things (not everyone here does that, but if you notice the ones who have been rejected in the past, theyre usually like that) they want someone who is smart and does well in school of course, but they also want someone who will add something to their school. thats something that you cant study for etc. you just ahve to have the passion. so dont be intimidated. good luck!</p>
