i have heard a lot of seemingly mixed messages about life at NU (which, i suppose, you hear at any college). but i was just wondering if i could get some more input about life at NU. i understand that it's rigorous academically, but what i'm really more worried about (since i understand about the academics) is the social life. i have gathered that the north dorms are the more "social" dorms? is that the case? what happens if you request to be in them and you end up in the south dorms?
thanks for any and all input!!

That doesn't mean the south dorms are antisocial, they just tend to be quieter. There are a couple social dorms on south as well like Allison and Willard I think.

Rule #1: "Social" is a euphimism for "alcohol consuming".

Also note: A dorm is not magical. The building does not influence sociability. And all the people in the dorm change every year (well, most people anyway), and the people on campus change entirely every 4~5 years.

If no one knew which dorms were supposedly more "social", then those dorms which would be more social would be... all of them. Think about it.
