I know everyone gets a ton of mail from WashU with all their marketing and such, but I think I'm in a different situation.

A month ago I recieved mail to attend a WashU info session. I then attended it and I wrote my name on the mail list saying I attended the information session.

Just today I recieved another letter (the same exact one) except the same admissions rep(same exact one) asked me to come to another info session except this time it's at my high school.

I wonder if WashU or this admissions rep really wants me, or they just want me to apply there in general.

Oh by the way, I'm not sure if this makes any difference, but I'm a legacy.

Or one thing has nothing to do with the other....Your name is on the mailing list and they know where you go to high school...Probably mutually exclusive....

The same happened to me. I think that once you go to one, you get on a mailing list and the things that are sent out by high school are just computer generated and then sent out. I'd like to believe that they REALLY want us, but i dont think that's exactly it...at least were showing interest!

Funployee, once you get on WashU's mailing list, you get bombarded. Unless they send you an invitation to fly you free to visit the school for a special weekend, don't assume that they really want you. Also, being a legacy certainly gives you an advantage, but for most schools, only if you apply ED. If you don't apply ED, you can't count on your legacy pulling you in.
