Hey, how many recommendations do I need to get on any UC? is it 2? or how ever many I can get?

none. UC doesn't take recs. DOn't send them, they will just throw them out.

The University of California does not solicit recommendations. Your application is first sent to a central processing center, where workers handle and prepare your application for each college. Any extraneous materials not requested in the application (i.e recommondations) are thrown out.

It's not a slight against you, it's just procedure.

but what about ivy league schools? Do they want recommendations?

why don't you ask the ivy league boards. this is the UC, it processes a gabillion applications a year, can't really sit to read teacher recs.

Ivy League schools require two recommendations, and if you want to send more they'll generally read them although usually it doesn't help much.

I thought Harvard required three, though I could be wrong (too lazy to look it up).
