I'm less upset when people die than when they don't want to be friends anymore.

Is that odd? Admittedly it's a small sample size, but I lived with this guy for three months who
- took me camping
- gave me boy/girl advice
- offered me my first drink
- chased out this guy who was molesting me
- taught me how to play Halo,
and then he killed himself and I didn't shed a tear. Granted I heard about this a year after I moved out, but still, you'd think I'd have more of an emotional reaction, right?

I guess I kind of think of him as still being alive because I moved across the country and wasn't going to see him again anyway.

I’ll make sure to kill myself if I ever decide I don’t want to be friends.

Yeah, do that.
