I'm new at this... help me?

Hi everyone… I’ve been reading all the posts for the last few months, and I finally have a personal problem/question that I would like to ask.

The colleges that I have been considering are Cal Poly, UC Irvine, and UC Davis. I eliminated Davis because I really don’t like the campus, and I’m leaning towards Cal Poly.

I got into Business (Marketing) at Cal Poly and Computer Science/Engineering at Irvine. I heard about the MIS program at Cal Poly, and it sounds like something I want to do (I heard the marketing program kind of sucks at Cal Poly?) If I go to Irvine, I’ll probably do Informatics (in the Comp Sci area, diff major) and I would have to minor in business if I wanted to do something equivalent of Cal Poly’s program.

I’m Asian myself, and know that Cal Poly is pretty white… I did go to the Poly Cultural event and had a great time! I met lots of nice people and had lots of fun.

I’m planning to submit my SIR soon and I don’t want to regret my option. Does anyone know about the MIS or business at Cal Poly?

Oh, and most people get jobs right after graduating from Cal Poly right? My mom says I should go on to grad school… would Cal Poly set me up for that? Because I know Irvine and UC’s set you up well for grad school and I think more people from UC’s go to grad school than Cal Poly.

Well it would be great if I could get some feedback… Thanks!

You should go to Cal Poly... cause I'm going to Cal Poly. Haha I'm kidding. If you're planning on going to grad school, UCI would be better. Which club were you with at Poly Cultural?

VSA. How about you?

Civil Engineering

EE....can't wait

everyone's doing engineering..lol. do you guys know anyone going into business?

lol.. well, slo is known best for ag and eng
most of the eng ppl are on cc.

i still didn't send in my SIR.. hopefully i'll do that today.

To an earlier post:

People at cal poly have NO problem getting into grad school. People keep themselves out of grad school with low gpa's and crappy resume's. Getting into grad school is the same at Irvine as it is at Cal Poly.
