<p>I have a question on ACT Eng. I take the SAT but I wanna try ACT to see if I do better. But in some questions I have no clue what to do. Here's an example from the Red book, please help me interpret what the question is asking :
"Kevin Bannister's case was significant in that it was the first in the United States to address clothing prohibitions of a school dress code. His challenge initiated a review, of students' rights and administrative responsibility in public education. "
Which choice would most effectively open this paragraph and convey the importance of this case ?
F.No change.
G.Therefore, Kevin's case reminds us that you should stand up for your rights, no matter how old you are.
H.The case for personal liberty means the right to speak up must be taken seriously by the courts.
J.All in all, clothing is an important part of our identity.</p>
<p>I don't know what the question is asking. Is the question about the underlined portion only or the whole paragraph ?</p>
<p>The answer is F isn't it?
I think the question itself is fairly self explanatory "Which choice would most effectively open this paragraph and convey the importance of this case ?"</p>
<p>I've never taken the ACT, but...this seems fairly straightforward.</p>
<p>lol I somehow thought it asked about the entire passage. so why does the question underline the first sentence while asking about the whole passage ? Am I over-critical ?</p>
