I got my writing score back yesterday (essay-10)

I think you've got a real good chance. You've challenged yourself with difficult courses, you have a few B's, but clearly you've worked hard and are still working hard. Your ACT is great. I like your essay topic and give you credit for your musical talent despite the deafness. Sorry to hear about your depression, but I wouldn't go writing about it too much on applications; IMO some things you keep private.
In-state students have a little bit of an edge with admissions too over OOS. Duke has a commitment to fill something like 12% of the entering class with folks from NC (and SC??)>>something like that.
I got into Duke, but chose UVA. To each his own. Best of luck.
