do i have a chance at bing?..i applied to SOM (i'm an idiot) but i'm putting down my 2nd major in harpur. please look ove rthiss

If you really want to go to Binghamton I would recommend starting at another school, keeping a “stellar” GPA and then reapply after a year or so. Usually the GPA required for transfer students is above a 3.3.
Good luck on whatever you decide to do.

what would a 3.3 GPA W be as UW?

Multitasker, I’d say it depends on the weighting system at a given school.

Easysats, based on your stats, “I’m not getting into Bing” is right. Just try your luck at a different school and try to transfer in.

Binghamton isn’t that hard to get in compared to other schools…His 1490 would be at the 50th percentile for ivies

I’d say you have a great chance considering your SAT(M+V). Though it actually depends on your school. An 82 in one school isn’t the same in another

Jinrim, I really wouldn’t be too confident. According to collegeboard, only 3% had a GPA between 2.5 and 2.99. And only 5% more between 3.0 and 3.24. It’s not as hard to get into as Yale, maybe, but Binghamton is definitely competitive in its own right.

I respect the fact that you looked up the figures… but you have to realize a 80 in one school is not the same as an 80 in another school. for example, an 80 in my school would be like a B+ in other schools considering the competition and the school’s reputation. trust me if they have a 1300 or even 1350+ they’re in

your SAT is phenomenal and thats definitely what binghamton cares most about

Someone on the EA thread got deferred with a 1450, fwiw.

rebeccar that was me
