I really wanted to major in MCB. But organic chem (or any chem for that matter) is killing me....i don't understand all these reactions SN1, SN2, blah....and midterm is tomorrow.

I know what my strengths are, which is biology (i love biology), writing (people have said i'm a good writer lol....), and some other stuff. I'm into history, and i'm getting a little interested in law.

But my gpa is down the crapper (got a 3.2 first sem..idk what i'll get this sem...screw orgo.)

idk how i'm going to look like for grad schools honestly. i was thinking about pre-law, but that also needs a good gpa...

anyone have any advice please? in the meantime, i'll try and understand these reactions...

edit: it also sucks how everyone puts so much importance on gpa. i know, in 10 years or so, nobody will care if you got a 4.0. but you still need a good gpa to get into grad school and maybe to score that first job/internship. after that it is all experience.

the thing is, i do have experience. i have worked in 3 research labs dealing with biology. never have i, or seen any lab members, use any of this organic chem or even complex math.....sigh.

also, one of my mom's friend's daughter got a 4.0 here. she went onto medical school, but apparently couldn't hack it, couldn't keep up, and dropped out. now she doesn't know what to do in life...so ig uess that goes to show that gpa doesn't truly freaking matter in the long run. so why does everyone care so much about gpa? it is really stressful lol.
