I'm not sure whether or not to take Multivariable Calc instead of AP Calc BC...

I thought about it and I realized there might be some disadvantages when it comes to skipping Calc BC by taking the AP Calculus BC test after taking the AB class.

One of which is that by taking Multivariable Calc my senior year, I'll only be taking 5 APs + the math instead of 6 AP's (including AP Calc BC). This would mean a lower GPA.

Should I just neglect this because taking Multivariable Calc in high school is better than AP math?

I was kind of hoping to be Salutatorian, but I don't think it'll be possible with only 5 AP's senior year...

But colleges DO count Multivariable Calc with 5.0 GPA credit when weighted, right?

screw the rank...colleges will like it if you decide to learn for its own sake rather than fret about whether or not you will be salutorian.

Take multivariable calculus if you want to learn more math. Take AP Calc if you're more concerned about your GPA and rank.

Which of the two is better with respect to college admissions depends on the college.

Alright, I'm taking MVC.

Yeah, college math for me was ace compared to an AP Calculus class, I learned more and it was a fun course, screw rank, GPA, whatever, if you're at the point where you can take such a class, you've pretty much secured your way into a good college.
