I will be attending the university of Vermont next fall and i wanted to eventually go into the school of business with a major in sustainable business. the required classes are microeconomics, microeconomics, and two semesters of calc. i haven’t taken any of these yet. I am not very good in math and in high school i only went up to algebra 2. is it a bad idea to do this if math is not my strong subject?
Not everyone is good at everything. Do you see yourself as the kind of person who will keep up with homework, and go to professor’s office hours, attend study groups, or seek out tutoring if you need? If so, then I would at least try it.
It’s difficult to avoid math in college any way; it’s part of most general education programs and many majors have a calculus or statistics requirement even if the majors themselves are not math intensive.
