I'm on the quarter system. Are four classes doable?

I'm at a community college and signed up for four classes (all are 5 credit classes) for both summer and fall quarter.

Those are my classes:

Summer:

ENGL&102 - English Comp II
MATH 108 - Intro/Prob & Stat
PHIL 102 - Ethics
PSYC&100 - General Psychology

All are online classes.

Fall:

MATH 147 - Precalculus f/Bus/Soc Sc
ECON&202 - Macro Economics
BIOL&100 - Survey of Biology (online)
CMST 240 - Intercultural Comm: Diversity (online)

What do you guys think? Is that courseload doable?

I had to go to my advisor to get a special signature to even register for four instead of three classes. She made it sound like it's a really big deal because Summer quarter is only eight weeks long - should I therefore drop one class for Summer?

If you believe you can excel and complete those courses you should give it a try. Although, if you want to keep it safe then drop a class. Most of those courses should be easy though.

I attend a high school that allows us to take community college classes, I have taken four in one summer before. Don’t sweat it, you should be fine. Good luck!
