What do you guys think? Is that courseload doable?

I had to go to my advisor to get a special signature to even register for four instead of three classes. She made it sound like it's a really big deal because Summer quarter is only eight weeks long - should I therefore drop one class for Summer?

That seems like a killer Summer schedule, particularly given that the quarter is 2 weeks shorter. It sounds like a bad idea to me, unless you are super-dedicated and willing to do nothing but studying for those 8 weeks. The Fall schedule is more doable, but it still seems overly optimistic. I presume that your goal is to transfer, and for that you need the best grades possible. Your Summer and Fall schedules do not seem to be the best plan for getting the best grades possible.

Mmh. Which one do you think should I drop then for Summer?
I really need to take MATH 108 and ENGL&102 - should I drop PHIL 102?

And for Fall I really want to take MATH 147 and ECON&202. I’m not sure if I want to drop any of the two others though because I think that at least the diversity class should be doable.

Well first of all what are you majoring in and what CC are you attending? It will help me make a suggestion to drop what class. Also do you plan on transferring after 4 years?

I’m double majoring in Political Science and Economics. I’ll graduate with my AA this coming Winter quarter, in March '12, if I’m gonna sign up for four classes in both Summer and Fall - otherwise I’d graduate after Spring quarter '12.

I’m going to a CC in Washington state and I plan on transferring to UW Seattle.

The reason why I wanna take 4 classes those 2 quarters is b/c my CC cut one PoliSci class that I need to get into my major when transferring.
That’s why I thought I could take the one PoliSci class that I’d need at another CC in WA in Spring '12.

I agree that the ENGL and MATH are the highest priority. I’d drop the PHIL class, figuring that it will be easier to get into later than the PSYC class. Gotta’ love those WA common course numbers!
