im on the right track?

<p>can i get into columbia? im a sophomore in high school. i want to study medicine
9th grade classes and final grades
biology honors: B
english I honors B
World history honors: A
Art: A
Environmental: A
Geometry honors: A</p>

<p>10th grade classes and grades so far
Chemistry honors: A
Algebra 2 honors: B
French I: A
Ap Human geography: B
English II honors: A
Health science : A</p>

<p>and im planning on taking in junior year
either physics honors or Ap chemistry
Pre-calculus honors
English III honors
Biotechnology I honors
French II
Ap american history</p>

<p>and in my senior year
1.Ap calculus
2.English IIII honors
3.Ap chemistry if i end up taking physics in junior year and vice versa if possible Ap physics
4.Ap United states government and politics half the year and then Ap Macroeconomics if not then just Ap psychology
5.Biotechnology II honors/Biology Technology – Biomedical Explorations/Research III advanced research Techniques in Medicine as one class
6.Research V – Advanced Research Techniques in Medicine I/ Research VI – Advanced Research in Biomedical Science as one whole other class too</p>

<p>Yes, you’re on the right track in terms of grades. What about your ECs? I’m pretty sure that everybody applying for Ivy has good grades which is why the colleges check for your ECs. They want to see what sets you apart; they want to see if you have a life or not :P</p>

<p>No, you’re not on track. Not for Columbia.</p>

<p>I’m not trying to offend you, but Columbia is higher up than that. I’m also a sophomore and have way better grades (all A’s) than you and take harder classes (AP and am taking things older students take), and I think it’ll be really hard for me to get into Columbia (which is where I want to go, major in astrophysics).</p>

<p>Sorry, but I don’t think that’s going to cut it. At all.</p>
