I think I put everything.
Things that I might accomplish before my ED Application:

-Siemens Semifinalist?
-Philadelphia Youth Orchestra?
-Higher SAT or ACT? Really ****ed @ my current highest score (33). Sometimes things don't go your way...

Penn doesn’t “hate your kind.” Some of the most successful and charismatic students at Penn are asian males. Penn has a higher percentage of Asians/Jews than any other Ivy, which suggests to me that Penn is looking for excellent people of any background, not just excellent people from the “right” familiescough Princeton

Your essays need to be more than “decent.” It sounds like you are from the Philly suburbs, so you are competing with countless legacies and faculty brats. Choose a moment from your life and write about it in a thoughtful, entertaining way. That’s what you need to do. It doesn’t need to involve a big accomplishment nor does it need to be as important as “finding yourself.”

Good luck. Try to show personality in essays and make sure to also work on backup applications.

Thanks WWJR. Sound advice

Decent chance

I’d say you stand a chance.
