"I'm Overweight!" thread

lol im a junior right now and ive been really busy and not having much time to exercise. i dont wanna get sick so i havent been really cutting down on the food either. during the summer i went to taiwan and well, pretty much ate out every day. Its kinda disapointing since i was 145 sophomore year during the tennis season and now im 160. i'm 5'9'' btw. any advice?

I've gained more weight too, since I stopped participating in sports after school. And I'm not going to join the tennis team this year because my grades are slipping too much to risk it.

I'm going to try to exercise more during the weekends and try eating better food as well.

I think one should concentrate on increasing his physical abilities rather than dull strive to loose weight. Health comes from exercising. I mean, common, who do you think has better heart: 100-pounder who can't run a mile or a 300 lbish football player who has fat and extremely good cardiosystem?

Conclusion? Join sports -- don't exercise for weight loss.

Eat no fast food. Drink no pop of any kind. You will loose weight automagically.

**** alot :)

Exactly... if people would just modify their diet so that they are eating healthy foods, they wouldn't be so overweight. Your school work shouldn't consume you though. I run all year round on both school teams and German running clubs. I manage my time so that I can fit it all in. Of course I have a later bed time, but it's worth it.

When talking about healthy food, people would say white rice is unhealthy etc etc. I eat white rice all the time. I don't know. In my opinion you need to excercise in order to build muscles and move more, eat slower so your body can digest the food you are eating easier, and don't cut out foods that you eat. If you cut the food you eat such as oreos with peanut butter( =] my fav), pizza, or whatever your favorite food is, you will lose the weight, but then you end up gaining back the weight because of the junk food. Doesn't it suck that you are dieting for nothing? >>; Please don't yell at me or tell me I'm wrong this and that. x.x; Thanks.

Yells at PUNKiiE

Actually, if one modifies one's diet, and sticks with it, one will find many healthy foods to eat instead of junk foods. Natural peanut butter and natural jelly on whole wheat bread (without preservatives) is a great snack. Everyone likes peanut butter and jelly. Fruits can be filling and are great things to eat.

I don't propose that one should cut all snack foods from one's diet, but that one should limit snack foods.

Get on a treadmill, fatass.

That's how I lost 65lbs.

[cries in front of fevoldj2] ;-; MEANiiE!

=/ I don't know. xD I'm addicted to oreos and peanut butter. =/ I can't stand jelly. >/ It reminds me of flubber.

Try oreos and natural peanut butter. Then you have the best of both worlds -- a balance.

If you want to run, don't limit yourself to a treadmill. Go outside and vary your workout.

how about peanuts without the butter?

-.-; Nevveeeerrrr! :] I love oreos with peanut butter. ><; =] Thanks for trying to help. xp
