I'm pretty dang nervous... Chances for Cal Poly SLO?

<p>Hey guys I was wondering if you could chance me for Cal Poly SLO. My major will be business related. Here are my stats:</p>

<p>UC/CSU gpa: 3.67</p>

<p>ACT: 32</p>

<p>SAT II: Math 2: 790</p>

<p>USH: 780</p>

<p>ECs:</p>

<p>100 hours community service</p>

<p>Volunteered as a tutor in an official tutoring program in library</p>

<p>Worked as an intern/manager at a car dealership for over 100 hours</p>

<p>4 years as an officer of a club, 1 year being the VP of said club</p>

<p>Horseback riding</p>

<p>Play guitar</p>

<p>DECA club senior year</p>

<p>Tutoring program in high school for 50 hours</p>

<p>I know my gpa isnt the greatest, but do you guys think that my test scores and ec makeup for it? Thanks for your input!</p>

<p>Cal Poly isn’t super hard to get into, so I think you will get in. Your ACT is good, Ec’s fine and GPA is okay enough.</p>

<p>Actually Cal Poly is very competitive. The school average GPA for the 2011 freshman class was 3.9 for the overall student body and 4.03 for engineering. A 3.67 is still doable but not assured. The 32 ACT will make a big positive difference. The SAT2 subject tests are unimportant as Cal Poly will not review them. With a 32 ACT don’t even bother reporting the SAT Reasoning test – just stick with the ACT. That is what we did and my son was accepted at SLO. In fact, we are at a hotel in Pismo Beach ready to move him into the dorms tomorrow morning. Go for it and best of luck. Cal Poly business is an awesome program.</p>
