I'm running out of reasons to convince myself; maybe yours will

Once again, ladies and gentlemen, Brown it is. See you Brunonians in the fall.

Tien,

I sent congrats on the Parent's Forum, and found you here as well! So glad you are able to do what you had hope would be possible!

Tienthangtuan. how did the appeal go? Did brown match the Penn's offer?

I'm glad you finally made the decision. SO what happened?

After the decision concerning my appeal was made, Brown did not offer me a full ride like Penn did but they came pretty close to. I'm surprised they paid any attention to me at all. The appeal process was painful: I called in almost everyday to check the status, and also, I was so nervous and stressed over how it would come out. But overall it's worth it because I think I'm a Brunonian at heart, and perhaps Brown saw that. Brown's office staff, either at Admission, Financial Aid, Health, or International Programs, are extremely friendly and helpful. My mom still mourns over the two full rides I've declined to attend Brown, but I don't. I would encourage prospective Brown students and especially those who need help from the school to seek it. Brown will go out of its way to make you happy.

That's nice. I hope that you will have a wonderful time in Brown.

Tien! your story is really encouraging actually. YOu definitely deserved the full-ride and im 100% sure they paid attention to you because you have something great to offer.

i might call in and ask if they would re-reconsider me for the fall as opposed to spring becuase that would just be waaay better. They did send a letter that said "no" but maybe if i ask again?? Financial aid is definitely a different story from admission though. first things first i guess.

but anyway, congrats again Tien. I think you'll love it and if you don't at least its almost free.

Congrats....

brrrrrrr...I'm getting chills just thinking about the weather. I'll take 100F with 80% humidity anyday.

Thank you, everyone. Red92, I'm very happy that my story interests and even motivates you to do something about Brown's admission decision. You should definitely call and ask Brown to reconsider taking you in for the fall semester. Let them know how strongly you feel about matriculating in September instead of January. I hope it will go well. But I'll see you, without doubt, in the spring, correct? I'm very interested in meeting in person.

"meeting you in person."

most definitely. good luck with everything. congrats again.
