I'm screwed aren't i?

hi just tell me what are my chances so i can start crying now.

ap couses:

applied to
UCLA, uc BERKELEY, UC DAVIS, UC IRVINE, UC SANTA CRUZ, UC SANTA BARBARA, UC MERCED, UC IRVINE, UC RIVERSIDE, CAL POLY SAN LUIS OBISPO

please tell me where i'm going to get in and where i'm not so i won't be suprised when the results come

someone please respond, i've also applied to ALOT of state colleges and have received some acceptances. but please tell me about UC's

i need to know

You have a good shot at Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara, and Cal Poly SLO. You're probably not going to make it into UCLA, Berkeley, and UCSD. You're probably in at Riverside and Merced.

Then again, I'm not too familiar with some of the UC campuses (mainly D, SB, and M), so I'm not too sure about those, nor am I about Cal Poly... My predictions should be fairly close though...

Is the weighted your UC GPA?

yea that's my UC gpa

Cal/LA no
Mid tier and Poly-50/50--you should get into 1 or more depending on major (engineering would be tough.
Others safe

really the others are my safety?? davis, irvine, sb, sc, riverside, merced. really

No, mid tiers (UCD, UCI and SB) are 50/50.
SC, R and M are the safeties.

hmm any other sugesstions??

can anyone narrow down UCD, UCI and UCSB for me? please

concerned707:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCB/UCLA: Super Reach
UCSD: Reach
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Slight Reach
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Match

Our neighbors daughter only got into the local UCI with a weighted 3.9 GPA...I know she applied to UCSB...got rejected. Sorry..

OP you're instate right? If so, UCB and UCLA are reaches, UCI and UCD are slight reaches, UCSB is a match, and the rest are safeties.

UCB/UCLA - Not gonna happen
UCSB - Reach
UCD/UCI/Cal Poly - Slight Reach
UCSC - Safe Match
UCM/UCR - Safety

ok so from what ppl are telling me,

UCB/UCLA = never gonna happen that's ok i was expecting that
UCD/ UCI = slight reach i know but does anyone have any guess as to where i'm gonna end up? UCD or UCI?? *
Cal poly/ UCSB = match *i guess i agree still dunno??
UCSC = kinda safety i heard it was a party school
UCM/UCR = definite safeties expected

oh yea and i attend an insanely competitive hs, do colleges take that into consideration?? i hope so, cuz that's most of the reason of y my grades suck

if thats the case then your SAT should be higher... low gpa + high sat can be a sign of an insanely tough high school, but in your case you have a RELATIVELY low both... so maybe not
