<p>I don’t think he’ll really have much extra cost going to an OOS public. He gets $20k per year towards his tuition - which is what some OOS publics charge for tuition.</p>
<p>He may also qualify for some merit money.</p>
<p>I guess a good question is… If you were to get a full tuition scholarship, would you still get the whole $20k to use - say towards room and board?</p>
<p>I remeber one of my teachers saying that university of maryland will give you half tuition or something like that if you agreed to teach in maryland for 5 years.</p>
