im shooting for an ivy league school..will doing the following hurt my chances?

well...we all know that AP exams are coming up in a month or less.
i am taking 3 AP classes-- physics b, history, english...
I am passing all with an A..however, I am having a difficult time understanding physics b.

i fear that it will take wayyy too much time to prepare for physics B, when i could be studying history or english..subject areas where i could get a 5.

so here's my plan: to slightly ignore studying for the ap physics B exam and concentrate on english and history... :| in order to receive a 5,5,2 instead of of a 3,3,3....good idea?

Will flunking AP physics exam (or not even showing the score) look bad on ivy apps....im majoring in history or international relations.

how important are AP exams either way?

AP exams don’t affect admission much. Low scores on the AP exams do not go against you when you apply.

Why don’t you drop Physics B?

Or just don’t even bother to take the physics test.

too late to drop the class…
i could just not take the test but since the district ordered them already i will have to pay some fine–200.00usd
i could still do that but like ughhh

A fine? Your district is weird.

In mine, if you buy an exam you pay a $20 deposit, then the rest of the money by a certain date. If you decide to not take the exam any time prior to taking it you get all of the money (minus the deposit) back. A $200 dollar fine is like…more than the exam costs, so if you really don’t want to take it, just don’t go. shrug

OMG thats the same thing i was saying…they said something about the exam fee+an “inconvenience” fee …wth

hmmm “just dont go” hmmmm wide smile good idea! lol
will i have the balls to go through with it though? idkk lol

Since CB issues this test, I think it’s safe to assume that it operates similarly to the SAT.

People who feel that they aren’t ready just skip the exam and their test isn’t graded.

I don’t think colleges look too heavily into AP exam grades.

take the class dont take test. or just drop class. Dont take the test if your gonna get below a 4 on it.

I think you should at least try to get a 3 on AP Physics.
