thanks so much kadude and everyone else!
this stress is killing me
anyway, i wanted to also know if you think that a person would have a greater chance based on major? i know ppl who are waitlisted for biological sciences but im going under humanities undeclared…so do you think i would have a greater chance? i know no one really knows anything about the chances but im just asking opinion wise…

thanks so much!
good luck to everyone…we can make it!

Did you guys apply to impacted majors (including business administration)? It’s possible this is the first year UCI waitlisted because of the economy. They might want to maximize their enrollment. They can accept a bunch of people, but the people who SIR is only a fraction of them so they are probably making sure all spots are filled.

if you can, place the non-refundable down payment ($100 if i remember correctly) for all the schools you would consider going to if you did NOT get into Irvine,

that is, if you want to safeguard yourself against getting rejected after being wait listed
for a ridiculously long time. after may 1st? geeez…

i agree. put down the money for your second and third choice school and if you get into Irvine then just realize that a few hundred dollars is worth deciding what school you are going to go to. i mean most people have to pay in the thousands for college anyway…
