ok, so common app, you can either submit it online or print it out and mail it.. i would like to apply online, but what do i do with the teachers evaluations?? i'm not living in US, so the teachers here don't know the US system very well, and wouldn't know how to send it.. is there any way to send teachers evaluation online if the teachers don't know how to send it directly??
and there are some pages where they want your 'signature'. do i print them out and sign or just type my name in?

Not living in US really makes the process harder for me, because not many people around me knows about it, so i have to find it all through the web.. please help!!

Go ahead and apply online, since it is the simple method. Using the online website, once you register, there will be a section where you can download and print out forms. Each school you apply to will have supplemental forms that include teacher evaluations, mid-term report, and others. You will simply download these forms for each school. A good idea is to make a folder for each school you apply to...so you can put forms and notes in each school's folder.

Now, teachers evaluations and any other forms that the teacher or high school you attend are to filled out by the teacher or school only and mailed by them.

For example, let's say your applying to Pomona College and they want 2 teacher evaluations, one from a Math or Science teacher and another from an English teacher. Then you would download and print out two copies of the teacher evaluation form. You would fill out the basic information about you on top and then give each teacher the form to fill out You would also supply them with an envelope and stamp to send it. They do not give it to you to see or mail. Teachers mail it. Make sure you only give teachers that know you well and can say something good about your work the evaluations.

Many colleges also require a mid-term or final report. This form, is to filled out by the office or your high school adviser. Again, you print the forms that the schools need and supply an envelop with address/stamp for them to mail.

The pages that require a signature, if your doing it online, just type your name. The school your applying to may require an additional form called a signature form. That you would download, print out and sign and then mail it if required. They will let you know also on their website.

The most important thing to remember is when all these forms are due to the colleges. Make sure you understand the due dates and you let people at your school know the due dates. Give your teachers and people at the school lots of time to fill out the forms.

Thanks so much for the kind reply!! i have another question though.. it says on the common app,

ALL-IN-1 INSTITUTIONS
The institutions, below, require that BOTH your Common Application AND your Supplement be submitted before your application will be reviewed and processed. Additionally, if you submit your Common Application online to these institutions, you MUST also submit your Supplement online.

if you look at the sentence,
if you submit your Common Application online to these institutions, you MUST also submit your Supplement online.

supplement, what is it exactly? are teachers evaluation and mid term report etc counted as supplements?? it is isn't it?? so doesn't that mean i have to send them online as well? or do they just mean the college supplements where i can fill out online??

It's the last option.......you can only submit supplements that are online and available. At this stage it can get confusing as you know, but you have two things that will help.

Most colleges are more than willing to help you. So, either call or email the admissions people and ask them. In a sense, you (by paying the application fee) are keeping them employed. Think of the admissions people as your hired helpers.

Most colleges will let you know via email if you have forgotten something, although I wouldn't totally count on it.

Regarding the teacher evaluations: I can't imagine that they would be done online....I mean how would that work. If the "blank" evaluations are there online to be downloaded, printed........then that means the college will take them by mail.
