Doctor of Medicine is the degree you get once you graduate from medical school. This is also known as MD. This is what you need in order to practice medicine.

2-4 are combined programs offered through various medical schools. It allows you to obtain your Doctor of Medicine degree, as well as another degree, in a shorter amount of time than it would take if both degrees were obtained separately. Usually in those programs, you would spend years 1-2 in medical school, then complete the requirements for the second degree (MBA, MPH, or PhD), and then return to medical school to complete the final 2 years of med school.
