I'm So Dumb!

I probably just did the dumbest thing I could have ever done. I emailing all of the college I’ve applied to updating them on recent awards I have won, and in my email I specifically said the college’s name. Well, I sent my first one to U.Va, and without thinking sent one to Princeton WITHOUT changing U.Va to Princeton. So I had to email them back saying it was a typo (ya sure). I cannot believe I just did that.

i'm sure they'd already assumed that you'd applied to other colleges.

i dont think they will really care and secondly i dont think anything is really gonna affect you now. i think my decisions are already done lol

Do you really think they have already made decisions?

I imagine they've made at least half if not most. Considering they have to mail in a little over two weeks...yeah, hehe.

that's the scary part...that our applications have been decided upon and are sitting in some gigantic pile of letters being sorted by anonymous office gofers.

of course ur decision is done, shrek! stop tormenting us RDers with ur ED ways :p

Well look at it this way...
accidentally putting UVa is better than putting Harvard/Yale.
I doubt Princeton's going to feel threatened by UVa in any way.

But speaking of UVa...guess who got in today? :p

Congratulations!

Me too, zant! I just found out. =)

Wahoo wa!

congrats to uva people, but then again, they have no chance against pton

Apparently they do...and that's weird to me. But some people just seem to like the school more. shrugs I guess I just never looked into it, which is why I know so little about it except for Echols, its beautiful campus, and that it's a public school in Virginia. Still, congrats! UVa's a tres cool school, from what I hear.

still crosses fingers for Princeton

I know someone who had an essay that had each college's name in the body---isn't that asking for trouble?---and of course, she sent Harvard's to Yale. Ding!

Eeesh I didn't school names except for the "why __" and I didn't use the same one for those.

Congrats Kebree!

No need to get worried Phil, I'm not about to choose UVa over Princeton! I was telling people who asked me if I liked UVa that "Yes, I wouldn't mind going there..." but it's by no means my top choice. I'd tell you that you have more to fear from Yale, but you'd probably say "bahahah silly zante thinks she has a shot at Yale" and you'd be right :(

No no no. See, I understand Yale. Yale is a great school. And UVa is good too, but it just makes more sense to me to pick Yale over Princeton (although I wouldn't, but I digress) than UVa over Princeton. Especially as an out-of-stater going to UVa.

I'm not going to say I hope you don't get into Yale, 'cause that would be way cool if you did (especially since I think you have a good shot at it). But I can't say it hasn't crossed my mind before...I know, I'm evil. Evil evil evil lil' ol me :D

Well I'm just assuring you that I would not choose UVa over Princeton so you can sleep at night :p

but btw, have I told you that I like Brown as much as Princeton nowadays...? :D

Okay, Yale I can take, but Brown? BROWN?! Noooooo.

Think the loverly trees placed delicately around the green, path-strewn campus. Think loverly late night coffee runs at Frist. Think rolling hills. Think beautiful fields surrounding the campus. Think pretty shop-lined Nassau Street. Think wildly fun weekend excursions to Philly and NYC with your crew. Think late night arch sings at Blair and the 1879 Arch. Think the many beautiful lights illuminating the snow-covered grounds as you sit on a bench with your beloved.

And then think about Brown.

crickets

No offense to the Brunians out there. Just remember the good times that would be had if you chose Princeton, zante. Soooo many good times :)

Hey... congrats zante and kebree :)

Haven't been active on the princeton forums so obviously I'm missing out on other great news....

Thanks!

Well phil, I gues it also depends on where my "beloved" goes ;)

But I think, in the unlikely situation that I get into both, I will do overnights to get a real feel. sing-song voice we'll see...

do all these colleges have overnight trips for admitted RD students??? I'm curious because in the unlikely event that I will have choice, I would like to make a more qualified decision...
