I'm so freaked about Econ 1 midterm tomorrow! (Train)

omgggg.......

i got a B in Math 16A AND 16B......

I'm taking Stats 21 and Econ 1 right now....

Yea basically I can't afford to get anything lower than B in these courses.. (aiming for A- or B+)

I'm especially freaking about the econ 1 midterm.... and the fact that curves are section-based...I have a feeling that my section is filled with bunch of smart people :(

just be happy u didn’t get C’s. okay?

I got a C stats.

Goodbye econ major.

B’s everywhere else

I’m not in Econ 1, but I’m also hoping for an Econ major (capped…) and I’m pretty sure I’m going to end up with something like a D in my math prereq. I’m with you, @Chango99, goodbye econ major

u guys mad i took calc 2 at a community college over summer and scored the highest grade in the class and it counts towards my GPA when I applied to the econ major? You also mad that I used AP credit to complete my math 1a requirement instead of listing the grade i got on it?

goodbye berkeley. i’m done. it’s over.

Same, man. Not gonna lie, I really hope the people in my section are dumber than me. Significantly.

^gta admit, lul’d @ “Significantly.”
ahh good stuff. well executed. bravo.

ankur u jelly i took all my classes here like a man and have a 3.93 gpa as a graduating MCB senior?

hahaha well some people aren’t just as gifted as u. annoying world. but good for u for being able to do that (that is not sarcastic)

i’m mirin’ ur 3.93. Teach me ur ways

holy crap that midterm was brutal.

it was slightly/confusing compared to past midterms but doable…

except we only had like 45 mins instead of 50 (blargh we started at like 12:13 or something…)
i was rushing like mad, i finished but 1 or 2 answers were half-assed due to time constraint

basically my reaction to it:
http://i.imgur.com/dLzeb.jpg

WHAT THE **** WAS THAT, so much harder than the past midterms.
What did you guys get for the first 3, I got tff

It’s kind of ridiculous that I was able to answer the questions (hopefully correctly) from what I remembered about high school algebra, and not actually from what was taught in lecture/section.

How did everyone do?

Are the grades up?

I think it depends on gsi. Mines isn’t

Terrible. I got borderline B- :(

test was out of 100, average being around 60 and this was grading scale for my section (Sean)

100-71 A
70-56 B
55- (forgot about the rest, doesnt matter to me)

I studied so hard for that test too. Yea my section is pretty damn smart. Apparently the head GSI wrote the midterm, not Train. Some of the midterm questions were stuff we weren’t even taught or did

Just curious: does anybody know the answers to the first three questions (T/F)?

My class (Haozhe) had an average of 65, standard deviation of 13. I got a 60.5, which is pretty okay, I guess. My GSI said he wasn’t assigning grade-grades because he found it pretty meaningless since he will raise our midterm 1 grade if we do better on the next two exams.

And halo: FFF. It may be FTF because of wording, but Prof. Train has to approve it.
