I'm so happy at college

Ok guys this is getting a little ridiculous. I literally just typed I'm so happy at college into the search engine here and pretty much just got threads about people being depressed, unhappy with their school, friendless, or flat out looking to transfer. I get it. People who are content with their college experience probably not posting too much here, but instead going out and living there lives.

I've been through a really rough semester, and I definitely know what it feels like to be unhappy at college. But, I just think we are 18- 23. We have are whole lives ahead of us. We can still change what we want to do, who we want to be, or where we are so so so easily. Why not focus on the things that make us happy or at least working towards being in a better state of mind.

So what I want to document here are good college experiences. Maybe you got into your dream college, you ended up taking a gap year and had a life changing moment, maybe you ended up changing your major against your parents will, maybe your involved in an organization that changed your life, maybe your working yourself through college, whatever your experience is post about it here. It's ok to say you went through a rough patch/hard time. Focus on the good or at least how you are getting through a hard time.

If you think this idea is stupid or will just troll, please take your negative energy elsewhere. This board is full of people who have so much potential sharing an encouraging story or experience could really inspire someone else to make a positive change in their life.

If this ends up being a post that no one comments on and if you stumbled upon this post because your really unhappy in college. I want you to know that there is someone out there in the world that believes you still have so much potential to live a happy and successful life.

Share away

“We have OUR whole lives ahead of us.”

“are” is a verb
“our” is a possessive adjective here, or possessive determiner

(You wouldn’t want to make this error in a cover letter, or on a resume. Just trying to be helpful.)

*our, typos aside ( I just got caught up with what I was typing my apologies) I’m still looking for positive feedback :)

LoveDC, just out of curiosity, where do you go to school? I’m assuming DC? Just wondering, since I might go to GW next year, and your “rough semester” comment made me worried lol
(im a senior in hs)

The thing is, people who are happy are busy living their lives, not hanging around on CC whining about how bad things are.

Yep, you get it. For me it was empowerment. Choosing the classes, setting my schedule, managing what little bit of money I had, but most importantly learning how to get along with people. It was the ultimate preparation for the real world.

Negativity is realistic, not every story is going to be positive and hunky doory. the realism is quite entertaining. To keep my thoughts short, post whatever you want but think maybe Im the problem and nothing else is
