I'm so lost.

For the last 2 years my teachers and councilors have led me to believe that colleges only look at your Junior and Senior years.I now know that that's not true.
I have some questions.
Will schools automatically put you down if you failed a class or didn't get perfect grades?
I failed Algebra I in last year(9th grade) and made up the credit during the summer.
I don't mean to rant about the grades but my Geometry teacher is being an absolute teme about my assignments. He knows someone has been taking them but never lets me make them up.

Do they look at all 4 nine weeks independently or just final grades?

I have a 3.3 cumulative.That has to go up doesn't it?

SATs Junior year? Senior? both?

I'm not so sure about my list of colleges yet. Boston University's Visual Arts program looks good.FSU is just on there because my mom loves it and so I was raised a Gator Hater.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Not all colleges will automatically put you down if you failed a class or have a 3.3. There are many schools that will accept a student with a 3.3 ( most below the top 100 or so). FSU possibly, brobably not BU, but apply anyway. Look around for other second-tier schools.

Whether the colleges see your quarterly grades depends on your high school. My d's high school sends only the final grades (except senior year's semester grades, of course). You should check with your guidance counselor to see what they send.

thanks.I hoping to bring my GPA up next year.I didn't really know what do expect from AP courses I know now. :p lotsa reading.I'm going to speak to my councilor next week she has to explain the whole weighted vs. unweighted AP effect thing. My friend took 4 APs in her Junior year and 6 in her Senior year and she graduated with a 4.2 weighted I believe. We beat her school at an Art History competition today.Think I can beat her GPA?
