Recently my stress levels have gone up a lot. I'm putting a lot of time into my classwork yet am not achieving the grades (I've even gotten some D's/F's on exams) that I would like. I have already dropped a few of my activities so that I can get some time for myself but I still feel really tense and stressed. (I'm kinda sick now too and I have a geology and calculus exam this week).

Any tips on what I can do to become less stressed?

I know how you feel, I’ve had a really bad semester, and I have 2 midterms this week in calc and chem.

To feel less stressed, I made a list of everything I have to do for classes, work, and extracurricular activities. Then I planned out a schedule to decided how I’m going to get it all done and catch up. It’s best to study for 50 minutes - 1 hour and then take a short break. Also, make sure you make time to see your friends or hang out once a day (even if it’s just dinner) because being social makes you feel less stressed. Making a study group helps too because then other people can help you with stuff you don’t know.

I agree with what everyone else has previously said. College can be extremely stressful, and I think that if all else fails then simply talk to your doctor next time you see him/her and see what can be done about it.

I like to pull all nighters. The stress I feel is directly correlated to the amount of homework/tests I have, and after an all nighter I usually feel better.

You’re not alone ;). I feel like I’m in survival mode 24/7, just living day by day lol. Sleep, exercise, eat right…just repeating what you’re supposed to do under stress…I can’t seem to find the time for any of that :p. Oh, and deep breaths. In…and out…in…out…
