im so stupid

i submited my applications at 11:00 p.m. (11/01/2010), but on the commonapp, it saids it downloaded it on 11/02/2010. does this mean that my submission is too late?

no, you are good. don’t worry about it. this comes straight from a common app representative.

alright thank you so much!!
does this mean Yale received this on 11-2, though? and will it cause my application to be read in a negative light?

p.s. -i’m sorry, i’m normally not this devoid of self confidence, but the college process makes me very anxious

“Downloaded” should just mean when the forms were either downloaded by the school or possibly batched. As long as you met the submit deadline, you should be fine. Go to sleep!

Btw, hope this little freak-out shows you not to wait til the last minute! :)

yeah… i also f***ed up some parts of the common app, as well… it saids that my religion is reformed christian. i really didnt know what it meant until after i submitted it. also, the descriptions of my extra curriculars are cut off. and my method of payment is unchecked. although i did do a kick ass job on the writing parts.

but, i most likely ruined my shots of admission, which were decent before this screw up by procrastinating

Well you’re in luck - Yale specifically asks the Common App to block out your religion preferences on the app.
